A Life Full Of Blessing

It is the desire of every believer to live a life that is rich with the blessings of the Lord. Do you feel that way, too? If you do, then you need to search through God’s Word to discover to keys to receiving God’s blessings in your life. This is the life that every saint should enjoy!

As you search through God’s Word, you will discover that God promises all kinds of blessings to those who walk in the fear of the Lord. This is central to living a holy life that is pleasing to God. For instance, the Psalmist wrote:

“Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.” Psalms 34:9,10 NKJV.

Now that is an exciting promise! But it only comes to those who fear the Lord, and learn to stand on His promises by faith. We need to learn to take God at His word and believe His promises, until they become a reality in our life. That takes faith, and those who have learned to fear the Lord, have also learned that without faith it is impossible to please God. The writer of Hebrews wrote:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV.

Now do you believe that? If you do, then that is a promise you need to meditate on day and night, until it becomes a permanent reality in your spirit. Then it will work for you!

Too many believers simply fail to get the Word down from their heads and into their hearts, where it will work for them. You cannot believe the Word with your head, because faith has to come from the heart.

Many years ago, I saw a poster on the wall of my church. It read:

“Most people miss Heaven by one foot – the difference between head knowledge and heart belief.”

That statement is not only true concerning Heaven, but it is also true concerning every other blessing that God has promised to us. We need to believe God’s promises in our heart, and receive them by faith. We need to stand on God’s promises and believe that they belong to us, and that they will come to pass. The more we do it, the more we will see it. And the more we see it, the greater our faith will become.

Here is another promise written in God’s Word, for those who fear the Lord:

“Do not be wise in your eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:7-8 NKJV.

Again, let me say that these promises do not come automatically to us. We have to get them down into our hearts and believe them with our hearts. Then we need to commit the results in God’s hands, and thank Him until the answer comes. Let me also encourage you by saying that I have done this many times over the years, and I have seen God faithfully keep His Word time and again. God is good, and He keeps His Word!

Finally, here is a promise that you may know by heart already:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV.

Here we can clearly see that we need to trust God with all of our heart, if we are going to see His promises become a reality in our lives. You see, trusting God is an act of our faith. We also have to acknowledge Him in everything we do, and then we will see Him direct our paths. The more we practice this, the more results we will see. And, yes, the more results we see, the greater our faith will become.

Let me encourage you to hunt through the Word of God, and find all the promises you can that fit your situation, and then begin to stand on them by faith. Learn to declare His promises out loud that they belong to you right now. Then thank God daily for the answer until it becomes a reality in your life. Soon you will see your life filled with the blessings of God, and your faith will grow exceedingly.

You are holy, dear saint!
